Spot Trading Method

Once all deposits are complete, go to 'Spot'. The funds you will trade with should be in your spot wallet.

It uses the TradingView chart, and you can check your desired trading indicators.

Orders typically consist of the one-click order on the left and the limit order on the right.

The overall trading method is largely the same as that of general CEX exchanges (Binance, Bitget, Gate, etc.).

If you currently do not have funds, 'Transfer' will appear on the BUY screen. You can specify the size in BTC or USDT.

However, very few coins are listed for spot trading. Since Aster is primarily used for futures, spot trading is limited. If you want to create or buy/sell meme coins or micro-cap coins, please try Gate DEX. A $50\%$ trading fee cashback is possible there.

Futures Trading Method

You can click 'Perpetual' for futures trading. While there are no stock-linked coins in spot, there are in futures. For futures, coins allow up to 100x leverage, and stocks allow up to 10x leverage. For your information, Hyperliquid, currently the leading DEX exchange for futures trading, only allows up to 40x, so Aster is certainly better in this regard.

Creating a Gate Wallet Web3 Wallet

Here, I will explain how to use the Gate Wallet without using another wallet.

Open the Gate App and scan the QR code.

Click 'Create Wallet'.

Clicking 'Create Now' immediately opens a personal wallet. However, to use it properly, you need the recovery phrase. You can choose Cloud Backup or Manual Backup. I will try Manual Backup.

Recovery Phrase Security Guide:

1. Do not record or take a photo of it.
2. Do not screenshot or copy and save it.
3. The person who holds the recovery phrase is the owner of the wallet.

Please press 'Got it' three times.

When a screen like the one above appears, the 12 words of the recovery phrase will be shown. Please write them down in a notepad or similar place, viewable only offline, and keep them safe. If you lose it, recovery is impossible. Tapping the screen will reveal the 12 words.

Once you solve a short quiz to confirm you've checked the words, the backup is complete.

Depositing to the Wallet

Now, you need to deposit funds to trade. Clicking 'Deposit' or 'Receive' on the wallet's main screen will show a screen like the one on the right.

Since buying coins with a Korean card is impossible, skip 'Buy' and click 'Withdraw from Exchange' or 'Receive'.

The former is the method of transferring funds from Gate's CEX exchange if you already have funds there, and 'Receive' is the method of moving funds from another exchange wallet or personal wallet, etc.

Withdraw from Exchange

I chose the former because I was already using Gate.

The transfer process is the same as the deposit/withdrawal method for a regular exchange. Select the network, set the amount to transfer, and click 'Withdraw'.

Receive

Clicking 'Receive', the latter option, is the same. Select the coin to transfer, choose the network, copy the displayed wallet address, and paste it into the exchange or wallet from which you will be transferring the funds.

How to Move to the DEX Exchange on PC / Mobile

On the PC web screen, you can move directly to the DEX exchange by clicking the place labeled 'Web3' at the top of the exchange.

In the mobile app, clicking the 'Exchange' section at the very top will show 'Exchange / Web3 / Pay'. You can switch using this.

How to Trade Perpetual Futures on Gate DEX

Clicking 'Perps' at the top will take you directly to the futures trading screen.

Transfer to Futures Wallet

First, you must transfer the money you just deposited to the futures wallet to enable futures trading.

If you look at the top right, clicking on the Wallet or the 'Available' arrow part will bring up the Transfer screen.

Futures Trading Method

If you have previously traded futures on Gate, you can use it the same way.

If you look at the 1001x, foreign exchange trading is possible. The original ultra-high leverage trading method came from FX foreign exchange trading. Korean Language Support / Setup Method

Most exchanges do not support Korean, but the Aster exchange does.

Aster Wallet Connection Method (Binance Wallet) and 10% Discount

You must choose the chain you will use. It does not matter which one you choose. However, you must have a wallet that you use. Also, if you log in with an email, you cannot use professional features such as 1001x and Rocket Launch.

Aster Network Change Method

If you change the chain from BSC to Arbitrum One, Solana, or Ethereum, a screen like the one below will also be displayed. This is for setting the wallet connection network, and when connecting your wallet to Aster, you can use the desired network by setting the network first and then connecting.

Please don't be alarmed if you forget this connection method and your BSC network funds are not displayed on Arb.

Clicking 'Approve' completes the network switching.

Note that after the wallet connection is complete, you cannot change the network within Aster. When you click the network you want to switch to on Aster, a notification will pop up on your personal wallet app (like Binance Wallet) asking if you want to switch networks, as shown above. Clicking 'Approve' allows you to change it.

Aster Deposit Method (Arbitrum One)

If you plan to trade 1001x, you can use it without depositing to the Aster exchange. You can use the funds in your personal wallet after getting approval.

Click 'Deposit' in the upper right corner.

If you have connected your personal wallet to Aster, you must first transfer funds to that wallet and then move them to Aster. Note that if the network of the wallet you hold and the network connected to Aster are different, it may show that you have insufficient funds.

• Binance Wallet Fund Transfer Method

The coins currently supported for deposit to Aster via the Arbitrum network are four: ETH / USDC.e / USDT / USDC.

When you select the coin you wish to deposit, a screen like the one below appears.

The red area indicates how much you have in the Arbitrum network within your personal wallet (like Binance Wallet).

Clicking 'Approve USDT' above sends a notification to your personal wallet asking if you approve the transaction. So, don't just wait after clicking the approve button; please check the wallet you connected, such as Binance Wallet.

The transfer details should appear as in the image above.

Note that 1001x has an execution fee, which is a fixed fee of 0.5$ for BSC and 0.2$ for Arb.

Exchanges Supporting Arbitrum One Network Deposit

In the first place, deposits over 1,000,000 KRW from Upbit and Bithumb to Binance Wallet are not possible. If you have funds in a domestic exchange like Upbit or Bithumb, you must transfer them to an overseas exchange first and then to your personal wallet

Otherwise, you may experience significant stress due to fund return documentation.

Aster Spot and Futures Trading Methods

Please refer to the article below for spot and futures trading methods on Aster. Usually, trading is possible immediately after depositing. You just need to check whether the funds are in the spot wallet or the futures wallet.

• Aster Spot and Futures Trading Methods

Aster 1001x Trading Method (and Disadvantages)

To use 1001x, you must first approve the coin you will trade in your wallet. Since gas fees are incurred per network and coin, you only need to approve one or two coins you plan to trade.

Approving Trading Pair Coins

BSC

The tradable collateral on BSC is as follows. As it is listed as Collateral, you do not need to deposit to the Aster exchange; you only need to pay the gas fee to approve the collateral coin for trading.

Since all commonly used trading pairs are here, I would generally recommend BSC.

Arbitrum

First, the usable coins based on the Arbitrum network wallet are as follows.

It seems only ETH is available as a general coin. Since it can be confusing for those who didn't originally trade with BTC/ETH, I recommend USDC.e.

Clicking USDC.e brings up the screen like this.

Click 'Approve USDC.e'. Then an alarm goes to your personal wallet.

A small amount of ETH gas fee is required.

You can use it after paying the gas fee with ETH and clicking 'Confirm'.

Trading 1001x

If you put funds into your wallet (in my case, Binance Wallet) and switch it to the corresponding collateral, trading becomes possible.

The fee changes depending on the leverage rate. Below 500x, it is a fixed leverage of 0.08%. From 500x or more, it starts with a 0.03% fee upon liquidation and becomes a variable fee based on the profit rate.

You can set a time limit for trading, or 'Pulp' (Perpetual) lasts indefinitely until liquidation.

However, the maximum profit rate is limited to $500\%$. It is automatically liquidated when it reaches $500\%$. The price range is calculated based on the current price, leverage, and profit rate, so you don't need to calculate it separately.

Also, you must click the 'Approve' button on your wallet (like Binance Wallet) every time you open or close a trade.

Disadvantages of Aster 1001x, Review Based on Direct Experience

Honestly, based on experience, there are only disadvantages.

Order Speed is Catastrophically Slow

This alone is so fatal that trading is impossible.

The order process seems to go through [Aster approval request – Personal wallet approval – Aster order – Network connection – Order success]. In a situation where you are using 100x, 200x, 500x, or 1000x leverage, not just 1x or 2x, this process often takes 5 seconds, or even over 30 seconds.

The time from initiating the order to execution takes over 5 seconds, and slippage occurs, but since it's not a limit order, only market execution is possible.

Even if you set a stop-loss line and try to close the position at market price, you end up waiting for approval from the wallet and for the order to be fulfilled, which often leads to a -100% liquidation.

The order was placed, but they made me wait 15 seconds for a network connection, and then it was liquidated. High-leverage trading relies on ultra-fast order execution, so this absurd order speed completely defeats the purpose of using high leverage.

The Trap of a Maximum Profit Rate of 500% (5x)

Even if the order speed were slow, if there was a chance for a jackpot in one go, you could at least have expectations similar to zero-day options.

With a 10 dollar, 1000x leverage, the position is 10,000 dollars. For example, if you are lucky enough to catch a 1% vertical pump in Bitcoin, it would be magnified 10 times.

If this were also applied to 100, 500, or 1000 dollars, you might get a 10,000% profit in one go if you were lucky, like a zero-day option. Then it would truly be useful.

However, the maximum profit rate is limited to 500%, and from that, 75% of the margin is taken as a fee. Who buys an option with a capped upside?

Capping the upside while taking fees based on the profit rate is a very serious problem.

Effective Fee is Too High

Below 500x, a 0.08% round-trip fee plus a fixed network fee of 0.5$ or 0.2$ is added.

Above 500x, a 0.03% or profit-rate-based one-way fee (upon liquidation) plus a fixed fee of 0.5 or 0.2 is added.

Let's do a simple calculation.

The futures trading fees for general CEX exchanges are 0.02%/0.04%. Aster DEX's futures trading fees are 0.005%/0.035%.

Even below 500x, a 0.08% fee means Leverage times 0.08, excluding the fixed fee. For 500x or more, it means it starts at a minimum of $500 times 0.03.

Calculating this based on the margin, one-way is 8% for 100x, 16% for 200x, 24% for 300x, and 32% for 400x. Since it's round-trip, you must multiply by 2.

From 500x, 500x is 15%, 700x is 21%, and 1000x is 30%. If you make a profit, the fee is taken based on the profit amount.

You can understand this by looking at the picture below.

With a margin of 6.5 dollars and 1000x leverage, the liquidation fee is 1.94 dollars. That is 30%.

With a margin of 7 dollars and 1000x leverage, a 100% profit is made, and the liquidation fee is 2.14 dollars. That is approximately 30%.

If you do this frequently, an enormous amount of trading fees will be incurred, and your principal will melt away.

Referral Discount is Not Even Applied

Although this can be understood as it is a specialized derivative product, they impose an outrageous fee rate, the order speed is ridiculous, it is not counted towards trading volume, and they do not apply any referral discount.

Chart Keeps Resetting

The chart keeps resetting, and due to slow server speed, the chart lags and freezes even when viewing the 1-minute candle. It is not an environment conducive to normal trading.

It literally embodies the former name of 1001x: 'Dumb Mode.' The intention that 'those who do this are fools' is adequately captured.

Do not do 1001x.

If you are told not to, just don't do it.

You might put in 10 or 20 dollars just for fun, but as you do it, you'll realize there's no reason to use this sluggish trading method instead of just doing 100x futures.

Trading with this method is not counted towards the trading volume, so you cannot even receive Aster VIP benefits.

Aster Withdrawal Method

Withdrawal, like deposit, is done by clicking 'Deposit' in the upper right corner, and then clicking 'Withdrawal' on the screen that appears. The withdrawal here is in the form of withdrawing to your personal wallet, just like a deposit.

In other words, you withdraw the amount you hold within Aster to your personal wallet. The withdrawal fee is $0.51$ in USDT.

Enter the amount you wish to withdraw and click 'Withdrawal'.

How to Get a 10% Trading Fee Discount on Aster

Aster's basic spot and futures trading fees are very low compared to CEX exchanges (0.02%/0.04%). You can lower these trading fees even further by registering a referral through the link to the Aster exchange below.

Aster 1001x Fees (Special System)

Aster has a unique system called 1001x, a trading system that allows for maximum leverage of up to 1001x for Bitcoin and Ethereum. Other products also have a higher maximum leverage rate than standard futures trading.

However, the fee policy is quite complex depending on the leverage ratio.

Opening Fee:

A 0.08% opening fee is charged only for leverage below 500x.

Example: If a trader enters a 1 ETHUSD long position at 1,500$ on the BNB Chain, Opening Fee $= 1 × 1,500 × 0.08% = $1.20

Closing Fee:

A 0.08% closing fee is charged for leverage below 500x.

If the same trader closes the position at 1,600$, Closing Fee = 1 × 1,600 × 0.08% = $1.28

PnL-Based Closing Fee (500x Leverage and Above)

For leverage of $500$x and above, the opening fee is waived. This means the fee is charged only once round-trip, potentially making it cheaper.

Minimum Closing Fee Rate: 0.03%

This is the minimum rate, designed to be cheaper for high leverage use. However, the fee rate increases exponentially as the profit rate rises.

The calculation method is as follows:

The structure is that the fee rate increases as the profit rate increases because the amount earned increases.

Even if the fee rate exceeds the margin, the final profit rate does not fall below the fee rate.

Example: 1,000 margin, 500% profit 5,000$ profit. Fee rate 75% Fee 750$. Total profit 4,250$. Total capital and profit 5,250$.

이후 백업 단어가 12개가 나오고, 옮겨적어두신 뒤에 해당 내용을 참고하여 본인 백업키 문제를 하나 풀어주시면 됩니다.

Fund Transfer

이제 백업키까지 갖춘 월렛이 생겼습니다. Receive를 클릭해서 자금을 이체합니다.

아마 처음 클릭하시면 아래와 같은 화면이 나옵니다.

본인이 OKX CEX에서 자금을 이체할건지 아니면 다른 거래소나 지갑에서 자금을 이체할 건지에 따라서 결정하시면 됩니다. 저는 다른 곳에서 이체하겠습니다. Trasfer from wallets를 클릭합니다.

이체를 원하는 코인을 선택합니다.

그 후에는 원하시는 네트워크를 선택합니다.

선택한 네트워크에 따라서 주소가 나오고 해당 주소로 자금을 이체하시면 월렛으로 이체가 완료됩니다.

OKX DEX 거래 방법

okx wallet 상단에서 원하는 코인을 선택합니다. 유행을 타고 있거나 X에서 멘션이 된적 있거나 하는 등 밈코인 등을 편하게 볼 수 있습니다.

Binance DEX에 비해서 좀 더 이름 한 번은 들어본 유명한 코인들이 앞에 나와있습니다. 거래하실 코인을 선택하셨다면 클릭해서 차트로 들어갑니다.

OKX DEX 거래 방법은 전반적으로 현물 거래와 비슷합니다.

market 혹은 limit을 설정하고 토큰으로 거래하는 구조입니다. 이더리움이나 BNB같은 토큰이 자체적인 통화가 되어서 거래하기 때문에 금액 설정을 잘하셔야 합니다.

total 부분에 내가 입력하거나 클릭해서 수량을 정할 수 있고, Buy XXX/Sell XXX을 클릭하여 매수 매도 하실 수 있습니다.

Trading Settings

DEX에서는 밈코인이나 거래량이 매우 적은 코인 등이 많아서 각각의 세팅이 별도로 가능합니다. 슬리피지비율을 얼마나 정할지, proiority fee를 몇으로 할지 등입니다.

밈 모드(Meme mode)에서는 추가 수수료를 지불하여 주문의 우선순위를 높이고 거래 속도를 빠르게 할 수 있습니다. 권장 범위 내에서 우선순위 수수료(priority fee) 가 높을수록 거래가 성공할 가능성과 속도가 모두 증가합니다.

단, 거래가 실패하더라도 우선순위 수수료는 잔액에서 차감됩니다.

이러한 이유로 인해서 우선순위 수수료를 먼저 해두면 좋긴한데, 수수료 부담이 매우 커질 수도 있으니 밈코인 거래의 경우에는 참고하셔야 합니다.

What is a DEX Exchange?

On such exchanges, you buy cryptocurrencies with actual Korean Won (KRW), which is fiat currency issued by a central bank.
In the end, even if we buy 'decentralized assets,' the transaction itself takes place within a centralized system.

The problem is that common exchanges such as Binance, Bitget, OKX, and Gate are all also centralized exchanges.

Then, where is truly decentralized trading possible?

It is the Decentralized Exchange (DEX).

If CEX is a place that 'trades decentralized assets in a centralized manner,' DEX can be seen as a space where completely decentralized trading takes place through a Smart Contract.

How to Use Binance DEX

Now, I will explain in detail how to use Binance DEX. There probably aren't any beginners, but since there are many confusing parts, I will explain it as detailed as possible so that even beginners can understand.

Binance DEX Trading Fee Discount

참고로 DEX의 경우 2026년 2월 기준, 아직까지는 there is currently no platform that gives a referral user more than a 10% discount rate for DEX.

If someone says there is, it is a lie, so please do not believe it.

(If on PC) Mobile Binance App Verification

When you enter, a screen like this appears. If you access Binance DEX on a PC, you need to verify it with the Binance app.

Turn on the app and click Wallet at the top.

Then, a screen like the one below appears, and clicking Enable completes the verification.

Fund Transfer

To use DEX, you must transfer funds to the Binance Wallet to use the DEX exchange. Unlike a regular exchange wallet address, the Binance Wallet is custodial but has the advantage of allowing anonymous trading.

There are three ways to transfer funds.

1. Transfer from Binance CEX
2. Purchase Tokens with Card (Only possible on mobile)
3. Transfer Tokens from Other Wallets and Exchanges

However, you cannot proceed with the purchase and transfer steps completely anonymously. It only means that it is recorded where the funds went, but not who traded how much within it.

For example, the details are not exposed externally, just like when someone who appeared to be related to Trump previously took an 800 billion KRW short position before the tariff announcement.

Now let's immediately check the transfer methods.

Click Deposit at the top.

On PC, you can send to a wallet address or send funds from the Binance CEX exchange to the wallet.

Through the mobile app, traders residing overseas can trade coins with cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay as shown below. Please note that there are fees.

Transfer from Binance Exchange to Wallet

Let's try the most common method: converting from the Binance exchange.

Click 'Transfer from Binance Exchange'.

Then the token and network appear. Although it is bothersome, you must convert it to the corresponding coin for the transfer to be possible.

There are three transferable coins: BNB / SOL / ETH.

Direct Transfer to Binance Wallet from Other Wallets and Exchanges

If your funds are in another personal wallet or exchange, click 'Receive Tokens via Address'.

Similar to the above, there are three usable networks: BNB / SOL / ETH. You can deposit directly to the corresponding address. Note that here too, you must send the coin that matches each network.

For example, do not send in a form like USDT(BSC); you must deposit with BNB coin.

Apple Pay, Google Pay, Card Purchase

Click 'Buy With Card'. Then various coins appear as shown below.

When you click on the coin you wish to purchase, your Binance Wallet will appear below, showing your current balance, address, wallet name, etc. Since I currently only have one, I will click on the one shown.

Spend is how much you will purchase, based on the dollar (currency can be changed), and Receive is which coin you will purchase.

'Pay with' below is about which payment method you will use.

If you click, there are Card and Apple Pay. Both can only be used for transactions with VISA or Mastercard.

How to Trade on DEX

The method for trading on DEX is the same as the spot trading method on the Binance CEX exchange.

If there is a coin you want, you can select it from above and proceed.

Trading Settings

Once you have found the coin you want to trade, you need to set up the settings. The method is the same, but because it is essentially all meme coins, sudden sharp increases and drops are very frequent.

Therefore, the basic settings are slightly different.

Amount is the type of coin you hold. You must note that it is traded by the number of each coin, not displayed as USDT.

In the Buy window, you can purchase simply by clicking or typing the amount and clicking Buy. However, the problem is that due to the nature of meme coins, slippage is very frequent and severe, and the transaction itself incurs a gas fee.

If you click the > under Preset, a screen like the one below appears.

Gas price is the cost per unit of gas set for a blockchain transaction. Setting a higher gas price encourages miners or validators to prioritize the transaction, resulting in faster transaction processing.

The default slippage is set to 2.24%, and the maximum means the transaction will be executed even if the slippage reaches up to 20%.

You can set the values differently for three types, and you can set them differently for both buying and selling. Please remember the setting values well so you don't get confused when trading.

Transaction execution speed is accelerated depending on the network fee setting. Setting it blindly high is not necessarily good.

How to Sell

When you sell, you click Sell and can sell the number of tokens you hold. If you do not have any tokens, you cannot sell.

Q. I am already trading on Binance DEX, can I not get the referral discount?
