What is Binance Multi-Asset Mode?

Multi-Asset Mode is very simple trading tool.

Multi-Asset Mode is a feature on Binance Futures that allows multiple assets (e.g., USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, etc.) to be used as common margin (collateral) .

In other words, the profit from one asset can offset the loss from another asset, so the maintenance margin is calculated based on the Net PnL (Profit and Loss) of the entire account.

Single-Asset Mode VS Multi-Asset Mode

Collateral Value Ratio for Multi-Asset Mode

Binance applies different collateral value ratios in Multi-Asset Mode depending on your VIP level.

As you can see in the table above, stablecoins are recognized as 99% to 100% collateral, while volatile coins (BTC, ETH, BNB) are only recognized as 95%.

The higher the VIP level, the greater the margin deposit limit, and USDT/USDC are the most advantageous basic margin assets with unlimited limits.

In Multi-Assets Mode, these assets can be grouped as common margin to offset PnL, which is advantageous for professional traders.

What is Hedge Mode?

'Hedge' means a precaution or a fence, and when used in finance, 'hedge' is used as a precaution to prevent risk.

Hedge Mode provided by Binance is a mode that reduces risk through two-way betting on Binance.

If you took a long position because the price seemed likely to rise, but also took a small short position in the opposite direction, the loss will not be as great even if the price drops.

To reduce risk by taking multiple Binance positions like this, you can use Hedge Mode.

Hedge Mode Strategy and Usage Tips

When Taking a Long Position in Futures

If you have entered a long position in futures, but the short-term volatility appears rough, you can temporarily 'lock' the volatility by briefly adding a short position on the same symbol. The idea is to create a temporary neutral state (Delta 0) and then close one side when the direction becomes clear again.

In this way, in a situation where you should have a loss (a negative PnL), the profit from the short position offsets the loss, preserving your capital. If the price returns to the entry point in this state, there is no loss other than the trading fees. If the price rises again, you can aim for the long position to turn profitable again after liquidating the short position at the entry point.

Funding Fee and Basis Carry Strategy

The second is a carry strategy using the funding fee (cost of funding) and basis (the difference between futures and spot prices). If you simultaneously hold a spot long position + a futures short position (or the opposite configuration in COIN-M), profit occurs when the basis normalizes, regardless of market direction.

Especially when funding is skewed to one side for a long period, Hedge Mode allows for fine-tuning, such as creating a two-legged structure to maintain the direction of funding receipt while eliminating exposure to the unfavorable side. This is often used in periods of widening spread when liquidity is thin, such as on weekends or late at night/early morning.

While the losses are not huge, funding fees can accumulate significantly, so the larger the capital size, the more traders use this hedging strategy.

Position Management Before Volatility Events

Of course, it is much better for volatility management to avoid trading before and after events like CPI, FOMC, major listings/unlocks, or major chain upgrades. However, when holding a long-term position, it may be a shame to liquidate the position just because an event is approaching.

In such cases, you can hold small long and short positions simultaneously to insure against sudden gaps.If volatility explodes, you scale up the profitable side and clear the unfavorable side using Reduce-Onlyorders. Especially in volatile environments where stop orders can slip, Hedge Mode buys you time for systematic "response."

That is, in this case, you are not using a 1:1 ratio but rather setting it up with the idea of losing slightly less, or reducing the risk even if you make a profit.

Scaling/Build-up Strategy

Only averaging down in one direction is mentally taxing. With Hedge Mode, it's possible to do mini-market making where you gradually build up a long position while simultaneously realizing profits from short positions on a tick-by-tick basis. You ride the trend with the long position but chip away at the profit with the short position in a sideways market, making average entry price management easier.

Hedge Strategy Tips

Isolated margin mode is easier to manage than Cross margin mode. If you hold positions in both directions, Cross margin mode carries a high risk because if one side experiences a sharp rise or fall, it draws on the margin from the other side.

Does Using Hedge Mode Mean Zero Risk?

No, it doesn't.

First, Hedge Mode does not mean the risk is '0'. There are costs involved, such as fees for taking hedge positions, funding fees, and slippage. If you rely solely on direction neutrality and leave the account untouched for too long, it will be slowly eroded.

Secondly, in the case of high leverage, the market often tilts heavily to one side, causing the stop on the other side to be triggered simultaneously, resulting in unintended unidirectional exposure.

Test the OCO or trigger sequence in advance, and handle emergency situations by dividing them into the sequence of partial liquidation -> closing the remaining balance. 순서로 나눠서 하세요.

Thirdly, you must not confuse the calculation of the total position PnL with the individual position PnLs.

How to Use Binance Hedge Mode

1. Access the Binance site, log in, and go to the Futures trading window.

2. Click the icon (Settings) on the top right of the Futures trading screen.

How to Resolve Binance Hedge Mode Not Working

Isolated and Cross are two distinct modes for futures trading.

The primary difference lies in whether the margin and the position amount are separated.

Isolated Mode: A trading method where the margin and position amount in your futures wallet are kept separate.

Cross Mode: A method where the margin and position amount are not separated but are shared (crossed) across your wallet.

Each mode has its own characteristics, pros, and cons.

Generally, it is recommended that beginners start with Isolated Mode.

Differences Between Binance Isolated and Cross

The operating mechanisms of these two modes are entirely different.

Liquidation: Cross vs. Isolated

Isolated Mode: Even if your margin runs out, the system cannot access other funds in your futures wallet. Consequently, the risk of forced liquidation is relatively higher compared to Cross mode.

However, the advantage is that your losses are strictly limited to the specific margin amount allocated to that position.

This cap on potential losses is why it is recommended for beginners.

Cross Mode: Because assets in your wallet are shared, you can significantly lower your liquidation threshold depending on your total balance.

However, if your wallet lacks sufficient assets to cover the required margin, a forced liquidation will occur, potentially affecting your entire wallet balance.

Averaging Down: Cross vs. Isolated

Averaging down (adding to a position to improve the entry price) is generally less effective in Cross mode than in Isolated mode.

In Cross Mode: All available funds serve as margin. Adding to a position reduces your available margin.

While this may improve your average entry price, it also causes your liquidation price to rise, meaning the risk of being liquidated remains high.

In Isolated Mode: Each position has its own separate margin account. You can add to a position to lower your average entry price without affecting your overall margin balance. Additionally, you can choose to directly add margin to a specific position to lower its liquidation price, effectively reducing the risk of liquidation.

You can do this by [Right-clicking] on the chart and then clicking the [Reset Chart] button.

따라서 강제청산 게이지는 위험도를 뜻하는 지표이며, 손실이 커질 수록 게이지가 올라갑니다. 동시에 ROE 아래에서 확인할 수 있는 위험 퍼센테이지도 동시에 올라가게 됩니다.

이러한 상황은 롱이나 숏 포지션 중 한 쪽 포지션 비율이 지나치게 높은 경우 생깁니다.

균형이 맞지 않은 채 한쪽 포지션 크기가 계속해서 커진다면 내 거래를 받아줄 사람이 없어지게 됩니다. 따라서 거래가 성사되지 않는 상황이 닥치기 전에 바이낸스 측 에서 강제로 청산을 시키는 셈 입니다.

What is Binance Trading Volume?

Trading volume is also called volume, and it is a value that shows how much of a coin is traded over time. That is, it is a value that shows the change in ownership of the coin.

Trading volume is an indicator that helps determine whether the current situation is reliable when the price is fluctuating. You can consider the reliability to be higher when the trading volume is large compared to when it is small.

Binance Trading Volume Unit

The unit for Binance trading volume is the number of Bitcoins (or the base coin).

The coin trading volume is usually displayed with the unit 'k'. Here, k means 1000.

Let me give an example. Let's assume that 2k of a coin is being traded in one minute. If the current price is 50,000 USD, it means that 2,000 * 50,000 = 100,000,000 USD worth of the coin is being traded in one minute.

There are times when the Binance volume disappearance phenomenon occurs. This could be due to an error on the site itself, or it could be because the Binance volume settings were incorrectly changed.

When Binance Volume is displayed as 0 on the chart

You can fix this by changing the Binance chart price display from Mark Price to Last Price.

When you have never set the Binance trading volume before

Click [Indicator] > [Sub] in order from the top menu, and then check Vol to display the Binance trading volume.

When neither 1 nor 2 applies

If the Binance trading volume is still not displayed, it is likely a simple site error.

In this case, deleting the site's cache will initialize the settings, and the trading volume may be displayed again using method 2.

In the Chrome browser, pressing Ctrl + Shift + Del opens a window like the one below.

Check Cached images and files and then click the [Clear browsing data] button at the bottom to complete the cache deletion.

바이낸스 한글 서비스 지원이 중단된 이유는 대한민국 금융 위원회에서 발의한 특금법 때문인데요. 구체적으로 특금법 법안에는 ‘대한민국 원화 사용 금지’, ‘대한민국 언어 사용 금지’, ‘대한민국 국민 상대로 영업 금지’ 사안들이 포함되어 있었습니다.

하지만 그럼에도 지금도 바이낸스를 한국어로 이용할 수 있는 방법들이 있습니다.

PC 바이낸스 한글 설정 방법

1. 크롬 브라우저에 접속합니다. 크롬 브라우저가 설치되어 있지 않은 경우 여기서 바로 설치가 가능합니다.

2. 크롬 브라우저에서 바이낸스 사이트에 접속했으면 화면 빈 공간에 마우스 우클릭 버튼을 눌러줍니다.

3. 마우스 우클릭 시 나오는 메뉴에서 [한국어(으)로 번역] 버튼을 클릭합니다.

4. 그러면 다음 화면처럼 PC 바이낸스에서 한국어 설정이 완료됩니다.
